Township Clerk:  Annette Simonian

The Township is committed to community engagement and encourage residents to be part of the process.

All council and committee meetings are open to the public, unless otherwise stated.

All agendas and minutes are available to the public.

The general public who wish to address council may do so as a delegation.  Your intention to speak at Council is required in writing no later than end of day on the Wednesday prior to the next scheduled council meeting.  For more information, contact the Clerks Department.

Clerk is a statutory position and the primary role of the Clerk’s Department is driven by Provincial Legislation.

The Clerk is responsible for preforming the following duties under the Municipal Act:

Organization, preparation, distribution and public notice of the council and committee meeting agendas and minutes and other matters of public interest.

Actions taken by Council are recorded and communicated.

Elections – accountable for the preparation and overall conduct of the Municipal Elections as the Returning Officer.

Corporate Records Management.

Licensing officer for  lottery licences and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Municipal Freedom of Information Privacy Officer providing public access to township records and protecting personal privacy in accordance with MFIPPA.

Commissioner of Oaths/Affidavits.
