Augusta Township Council met on May 25, 2026.
Council held a Public Meeting to discuss and received comments on the Proposed Zoning By-Law Amendment (9147 County Road 6 North Augusta)
Below are highlights from the meeting.
- Waived the rules of procedure to consider a motion directing staff to proceed with the investigation of the disposition of the Ellis House property and bring a report back to council at a future date.
- Approved Compressed Work Week Schedule for a trial basis, effective June 1.
- Directed staff to initiate the Zoning By-law 2965, as amended: Secondary Suites (Additional Residential Units – ARUs)
- Approved the Communications Policy.
- Approved the 2026/2027 Insurance Renewal.
- Approved By-Law 3852-2026 – Stop Up and Close a Road Allowance (Part 1)
- Approved By-Law 3853-2026 – Stop Up and Close a Road Allowance (Part 2)
- Approved By-Law 3854-2026 – Stop Up and Close a Road Allowance (2600 Merwin)
