Augusta Township Council met on August 10, 2026

Below are highlights from the meeting.

• Presented Congratulatory Certificates to the Domville Aces U9, U11- Team 2 and U13 teams
• Waived the lottery licence fee request for the Augusta Fire Rescue Association
• Received and accepted the 2025 Grenville County OPP Detachment Annual Report
• Received the Protective Services Department Semi-Annual Activity Report
• Received a staff report regarding the Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) for information and directed Staff to bring back the draft by-laws and policies for final deliberation and consideration
• Received the draft Growth Management Strategy from the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville directed Staff to advise the UCLG of acceptability and reasonability of the strategy as they relate to the Township of Augusta
• Approved Planning Advisory Committee recommendation for Zoning By-law Amendment Application for 9147 County Road 6
• Approved consent application for Severance – New Lot County Road 18/Barton Road
• Approved By-Law 3862-2026 – Appointing Adam Jensen as Chief Building Official
• Approved By-Law 3863-2026 – Zoning Amendment (Conc. 5, Lots 29 and 30 Vacant Lands on County Road 15)
• Approved By-Law 3864-2026 – Stop Up and Close a Road Allowance (Located between 2100 and 2934 2nd Concession Road)
• Directed Staff to bring back a report on a draft Clean Yards By-Law
• Ratified and directed Staff to incorporate the changes in the Memorandum of Settlement reached between the Ontario Public Services Employees Union Local 494 and the Township of Augusta Collective Bargaining Team

Join Augusta Township’s new Seniors Connect program with an Introduction to Pickleball for Seniors. Learn the fundamentals of pickleball in a welcoming and supportive environment while staying active and connecting with others in the community. Whether you’re new to the sport or looking to build your confidence, this program is a great way to get moving and meet new people!

Participation is free, but spaces are limited to 8 participants. Registration is required by August 28, and participants must be available to attend all four sessions.
