Augusta Township is proud to mark the 16th celebration of its Business of the Year Awards—an annual tradition that began in 2010 to recognize outstanding contributions to the local business community.
Over the years, this program has grown to celebrate a wide range of individuals and organizations making a positive impact in Augusta.
Eligibility and submission process
Nominees must:
- be a resident of Augusta Township
- their contributions should directly benefit the Township and its community.
Nominators must:
- describe the nominee’s key achievements in areas such as; business growth and success, innovation and ongoing improvements, community involvement and support, leadership and inspiration, sustainability and responsible practices, and positive impact within their profession or agriculture.
- Highlight milestones, performance, and contributions that demonstrate their dedication and influence in Augusta.
- Can include support letters, testimonials, images, media links, or any other materials to support their nomination.
Selection
A Selection Committee, consisting of up to four Municipal Advisory Committee members, chooses the award recipients. Nomination reviews are confidential, and decisions are final.
The Selection Committee may accept incomplete and/or late nominations at their discretion.
Nominations for the 2025 Community Awards will be accepted from July 1 to October 3, 2025.
Nominations should reflect accomplishments or contributions made during the 2024-2025 calendar year.
Business of the Year Award
Recognizes an outstanding Augusta business that inspires others through excellence, leadership, and community engagement.
Evaluation Criteria
Nominations are carefully reviewed by a committee based on the following criteria:

Continuing Improvements: Commitment to innovation and improving services.

Community Involvement: Active participation and support of local initiatives and organizations.
Only complete nominations submitted by the deadline will be considered.

This award recognizes an individual, group, or business for their outstanding contributions to the community, by providing inspiration, leadership and/or positive action that has improved the community for everyone.
Evaluation Criteria
Nominations will be assessed based on:

Positive Action or Volunteerism: Dedication to service and ongoing community involvement.

Eligibility Requirements
Nominees for the Community Builder Award must be current residents of Augusta Township. While the primary focus is on contributions within the Township, projects or initiatives carried out within Leeds and Grenville are encouraged and will be celebrated, provided they demonstrate a positive impact aligned with the values of the awards.
