FOR RESTRAINING AND REGULATING THE RUNNING AT LARGE OR TRESSPASSING OF CATTLE, HORSES, SHEEP, SWINE AND ALL KINDS OF DOMESTIC FOWL
The Corporation of the Township of Augusta enacts as follows, 1st any person who shall suffer or permit any horses, mare, colt, cow, bull, calf, sheep, goat, pig or other cattle, being the property, or under control of such person to run at large on any of the public roads or highways or on other persons than their own premises within the limits of the Township of Augusta, shall on summary conviction, before any Justice of the Peace, having jurisdiction in this municipality be liable to a penalty, for each bull $5.00 five dollars, ram two dollars, boar two dollars, stallion over one year old $5.00 five dollars, any other horse, mare, colt $2.00 two dollars, or cow, calf, sheep, goat, pig or other cattle 50¢ fifty cents.
Any person who shall suffer or permit any turkeys, geese, hens, ducks or other domestic fowl being the property or under control of such person, to run at large or trespass on any other persons premises than their own within the limits of the Township of Augusta, shall be liable to a penalty on summary conviction before any Justice of the Peace having jurisdiction in the municipality of Augusta for each turkey twenty cents, goose fifteen cents, for each hen, duck, chicken or other domestic fowl ten cents.
By Law number 458 and all other By Laws or sections of By Laws inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
Enacted on the 9th day of August A.D. 1909 at the Town Hall of Augusta Township.
