A BY-LAW TO AMEND ASSESSMENT SCHEDULE DUE TO CHANGES IN
OWNERSHIP AND SUBDIVIDED LANDS IN THE TOWNSHIP OF AUGUSTA FOR THE
SALMON-COVILLE MUNICIPAL DRAIN
WHEREAS By-law Number 1426, enacted the 6th day of May, 1968, provided for the
construction and maintenance of the Salmon-Coville Municipal Drain based on the
report provided in the By-Law dated the 251h day of July, 1929, as submitted by A.W.
Gray, B.Sc., O.L.S.
AND WHEREAS the Assessment Schedule requires updating due to changes in
property ownership and the subdivision and severances of lands within the Drain.
AND WHEREAS Council complied with Section (2) of the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, as
amended.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Augusta,
pursuant to the Drainage Act, R.S.O. 1990, and amendments thereto, hereby enacts the
updated assessment schedule attached to this By-law as well as the following:
1. The Municipality does hereby adopt the Drain Assessment submitted with this
By-law and in pursuant to Section 65 (2) of the Drainage Act will update said
assessment schedule if lands become subdivided or there is a change in
property ownership from time to time.
2. That the provisions of the By-law shall come into force and take effect upon
the passing thereof.
Read a first, second, and third time and finally passed this 11 day of March, 2013.
