BY-LAW NUMBER 3541 -2021
BEING A BY-LAW TO APPOINT AN INTERIM CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICER FOR THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF AUGUSTA
WHEREAS Section 229 of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 2001, as amended, provides
that Council may appoint a Chief Administrative Officer (GAO).
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Augusta deems
it expedient to appoint an Acting Chief Administrative Officer (GAO) for the
Corporation;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Augusta
enacts as follows:
1. THAT Council authorizes the Mayor to enter into an employment
agreement with Mr. Steve McDonald for the position of GAO for the
Township of Augusta effective November 1. 2021 for such a time period
as arranged and at the pleasure of Council.
2. THAT the GAO shall perform the statutory duties of the CAO under the
Municipal Act and other legislation.
3. THAT by-law 3506-2021 and all other by-laws inconsistent herewith are
hereby repealed.
4. THAT this by-law come into full force and effect as of October 25, 2021.
