Bylaw 2437: Regulate Smoking In The Work Place

Township Of Augusta By-law 2437 Being A By-law To Regulate Smoking In The Work Place Nowthereforethecouncilofthecorporationofthetownshipofaugustaenacts As Follows: 1.smoking Shall Be Permitted In The Following Municipal Workplaces: A)fire Stations In Maitland And North Augusta 2.nopersonshallsmokeinamunicipal Workplace In Augusta Township Except Those Designated In Section 1 Of This By-law. The Municipal Workplace Shall Include All Municipal Buildings, All Municipal Vehicles And Municipal Places Of Assembly. 3.signageindicating“nosmoking” Areas Shall Be Clearly Posted In Areas Where Smoking Is Prohibited. 4.anypersonwhocontravenes This By-law Is Guilty Of An Offence And Subject To A Fine As Provided By The Provincial Offences Act, R.s.o., 1990, Chapter P.33. 5.this By-law Shall Come Into Force And Take Effect Upon Final Passage.
