Committees & Boards

Committees provide Augusta Township Council with advice and updates on specific areas of focus. They offer an excellent opportunity for residents to volunteer, become involved in the community, and represent the interests of our Township.

Committees of Council generally serve for the same term as Council, with recruitment taking place shortly after the start of each new term or as needed. If you are interested in volunteering at any time, please complete the Committee Appointment Application Form and submit it in person at the Township Office (3560 County Road 26) or by email at officeclerk@augusta.ca.

All Committees of Council follow specific Terms of Reference established for each committee.

In addition to application reviews, the Committee may be asked to provide advice on broader planning initiatives, policies, and strategies referred by Council. The Committee also serves as a resource to Township staff, offering input to help expedite decisions in a fair and timely manner.

Official Plan and Zoning By-law Review Steering Committee
Council has tasked the Planning Advisory Committee with leading the review and update of the Township’s Official Plan and Zoning By-law, with the assistance of a planning consultant (Novatech).
