Welcome to Augusta Township

Augusta Township, a community of opportunities, truly is a great place to live and work and to enjoy life’s many pleasures. Augusta is one of the oldest townships in Ontario with roots dating back to the 1700’s. Here you will find historic houses and ultra-modern estates. Augusta communities include Algonquin, Domville, Maitland, Maynard, North Augusta and Roebuck.

To view a video of our expansive Township, you can visit our YouTube Page.

Our Township is perfectly placed along the St. Lawrence River in the south eastern Ontario. Augusta is also home to many thriving large and small businesses and agricultural operations.  Are you considering opening or relocating your business to The Township of Augusta?

Business Retention + Expansion

The United Counties of Leeds & Grenville, the Township of Augusta and the Townships of Merrickville-Wolford and Rideau Lakes have partnered in a project where staff and volunteers directly connect with over 300 businesses in the region.

The main objective of the Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) program is to assist existing businesses within the communities to become more competitive and thereby increasing their chances of staying in the area.

Through the BR+E program, we can learn how to make our community a great place to do business.

The program helps:

  • support local businesses so they can grow, create jobs and stay in the community
  • write and implement an action plan to foster business development, investment and job creation
  • collect business and market data to support economic development planning

BR+E Final Report – the results of the interviews conducted of 40 businesses in Augusta Township.

Leeds Grenville BR+E Report – the County wide results.  Visit the United Counties of Leeds & Grenville’s website for more information.
