NEW! Online Marriage Licence Application – Augusta Township

Augusta Township is pleased to now offer the option to complete their marriage licence application online. Applications are submitted directly to the Clerk’s Department electronically for processing. Once reviewed, a representative from the Clerk’s Department will contact you to schedule an appointment to issue the licence and arrange payment.

Appointments are required; walk-ins are not accepted.

The online application takes approximately 25–30 minutes to complete. Once submitted, a reference number will be generated. This number should be used for any inquiries regarding your application with the Clerk’s Department.

Supporting documentation may be uploaded with the online application; however, two pieces of valid (i.e., not expired) ID for each applicant must be presented in person when the licence is issued. A photo is required on at least one piece of ID for each applicant. Please note that once the application has been submitted, no changes can be made—review all details carefully before submitting.

To apply for a marriage licence, ensure both parties meet the eligibility requirements below and then proceed to the online application form.
