REMINDER: SHORT TERM RENTAL LICENSES DUE BY DECEMBER 31

house with sign that says short term rentals

This is just a reminder for those Augusta property owners who are currently using their property as a short term rental (AirBnB, Verbo etc.) that in June, Council passed By-Law 3724-2024 – a By-Law to license and regulate the operation of short term rentals.

This By-Law comes in to full force and effect as of January 1, 2025 and as such, owners are required to have a license issued by the Township by then in order to run a short term rental property within Augusta Township.

Failure to obtain a license could result in $900 a day in fines.

You can find the application forms and read more about this By-Law on the Short-Term Rental Operating and Licensing page.
