Pitch-In Augusta is an annual community clean-up initiative that encourages residents, families, and community groups to come together in support of a clean and healthy environment across the Township.
Participants are invited to help remove litter from local roads, parks, and neighbourhoods throughout Augusta Township. This community-led effort plays an important role in keeping our shared spaces clean, safe, and welcoming.
Registered volunteers will be provided with garbage bags and work gloves in advance of the event, available for pickup at the Township Office during regular business hours. Participants have the flexibility to begin their clean-up activities at a time that is most convenient for them, including earlier in the week.
As part of the Township’s appreciation for volunteer efforts, a complimentary lunch will be provided following the clean-up activities.
The Township extends its sincere thanks to all volunteers for their ongoing commitment and support in helping to maintain a clean and green community.
Pitch-In Augusta Community Clean-Up Day
Pitch-In Augusta will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026.
Volunteers may begin their clean-up activities at a time that is convenient for them, including earlier in the week leading up to the event, and are asked to complete their activities by 12:00 p.m. on event day.
Bag collection will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Garbage bags and work gloves can be picked up at the Township Office during regular business hours up to and including the Friday prior to the event.
A complimentary volunteer appreciation lunch will be held at the Grenville Fish and Game Club following the clean-up activities.
