Visit the Rothesay Dive Site page for more information about this unique underwater attraction.

Are you looking for something different? The Rothesay Dive Site offers a rare and fascinating experience beneath the surface of the St. Lawrence River, featuring the remains of an 1867 steamship.

A favorite destination for experienced divers and history enthusiasts alike, the site provides a captivating glimpse into the region’s rich marine past.

In 1967, to celebrate Canada’s Centennial of Confederation, most of the Township’s Recreation Committees received funding to enhance their facilities — a lasting legacy of community pride and growth. Today, you can still see the beautiful stone memorials commemorating this milestone in Maynard, Roebuck, Maitland, and Domville, serving as a reminder of our shared history and the spirit of unity that continues to bring us together.
