MERC also awards an annual bursary for local graduation high school students.

OTHER MERC AMENITIES
Located in behind MERC are several relatively flat cross-country skiing/snow shoeing trails thanks to the generosity of several landowners. There are different trails of various lengths so users can enjoy the experience by making it as long or short as they wish. These trails feature a rest shelter, an outhouse and directional signage.
