Did you Receive Your Voter Letter?
By now, registered voters should have received their voter letter in the mail. If you did not receive yours, you may not be on the voter list or relevant information is incorrect.
You may have also received a letter, but it states that relevant information is missing.
To correct either of these issues, please visit the Township office during regular office hours with your proof of identity, residency, and any other proof required to correct the issue listed on your letter.
Remember: a letter is required in order to vote!
**NEW** NOTE: We will be available to issue voter letters to those that qualify and require them on election day (October 24).

Received a Letter that’s Not Yours?
Did you receive a Voter Information Letter in the mail that’s not yours? Maybe it’s for the previous owner or for someone who no longer lives in your household?
If you did, please do one of the following:
- Place the letter back in the mail with a note on it saying the person no longer lives at this address/return to sender
- Return it to the Township office (if put in the drop box, please add a note saying why it’s being returned)
Please Note: It is AGAINST THE LAW to vote more than once or vote using someone else’s PIN. It is also an offence to vote in a municipality that you are not qualified to vote in.

Helpful Tips When Electronic Voting
Telephone Voting (1-866-212-2030)
– Your Personal Identification Number is your PIN – the number listed on your voting letter.
– It is VERY important that you listen carefully and follow the directions given for which buttons to push and when.
– When voting for COUNCILLOR, you must select all of the candidates you will to vote for (a total of THREE) and then press # (pound). If you press # after your first selection (like you do for Mayor and Deputy Mayor) it assumes you only want to vote for one Councillor and will end your session.
Online/Internet Voting
– If you are using an older/out of date browser, you may have issues logging on to the voting site. If this occurs, we suggest switching to a different browser. Most computers have more than one browser available.
To find another browser, click on the Start button and type in either Chrome, Edge, or Firefox and if you have it, it will come up on the list, just click on it.
– Type the website address listed on your letter into the bar at the TOP of the page, not in the search box.
Chrome:
Edge:
Firefox:
**NEW** Date of Birth
When entering your date of birth, please be sure you are entering your month first (mm) as 2 digits (February for example would be 02) then your day (dd) as 2 digits (the 7th for example would be 07) then the year (yyyy) – all 4 digits.
If you are entering your information correctly and you are still having issues logging in, please contact the Township office (613-925-4231 ext. 1). There may be an issue with your date of birth. If it is in the system incorrectly you will not be able to log in.

So You Want to Run for Council…
Several Clerks in Leeds & Grenville worked together to produce this video which explains what is expected of members of Council – what they’re responsible for, how the process works, what their relationship with Township staff will look like, etc.
Anyone thinking of running for Council may find this valuable when making their decision.
