Business Retention + Expansion
The United Counties of Leeds & Grenville, the Township of Augusta and the Townships of Merrickville-Wolford and Rideau Lakes have partnered in a project where staff and volunteers directly connect with over 300 businesses in the region.
The main objective of the Business Retention and Expansion (BR+E) program is to assist existing businesses within the communities to become more competitive and thereby increasing their chances of staying in the area.
Through the BR+E program, we can learn how to make our community a great place to do business.
The program helps:
- support local businesses so they can grow, create jobs and stay in the community
- write and implement an action plan to foster business development, investment and job creation
- collect business and market data to support economic development planning
BR+E Final Report – the results of the interviews conducted of 40 businesses in Augusta Township.
