Augusta’s Recreation Staff will be visiting specific ball diamonds within the township each week throughout July & August bringing a variety of sports, activities and arts & crafts for the young (and young at heart) of Augusta.

Play in the Park’s last day will be Thursday, September 1, 2022

 

They will be at the following locations from 10-12pm each week:

MONDAY – Maynard ball diamond, 10 Robert Road, Prescott (Maynard)

TUESDAY – MERC ball diamond, 120 East McLean Blvd, Maitland

WEDNESDAY – North Augusta ball diamonds, 8110 Mill Street, North Augusta

THURSDAY – Roebuck ball diamond, 7024 County Road 18, Spencerville (Roebuck) NOTE: Due to the parking lot being paved and then the lines being painted, Play in the Park has been cancelled in Roebuck from July 21 – Aug 11, 2022.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

Augusta Township has had the pleasure of teaming up with the Public Library to use of the lending library equipment which has an array of sports items available such as: basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, etc.  They will also be be joining us on Wednesdays in North Augusta for story time with the kids!

Note:

  • Activities will still be proceeding even in the event of inclement weather, however they will take place under a shelter.
  • All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All parents/guardians/participants will be required to sign a consent waiver in order for them/their children to participate.
  • August 1 (Maynard) there will not be a Play in the Park day due to the statutory holiday.
