BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY FROM JUDITH SANDRA DE GROOT
WHEREAS pursuant to the Ministry of the Environment’s directive to establish an
attenuation zone, the Corporation of the Township of Augusta has deemed it expedient to
purchase a portion of property being legally described as Part of Lot 32, Concession 8,
Township of Augusta, County of Grenville being Part 1 on Plan 15R-11438, being Part of
PIN 68173-0224(LT) from Judith Sandra De Groot for the purposes of establish the required
attenuation zone for the North Augusta Disposal site.
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Township of Augusta hereby enacts as follows
that:
1. The Corporation of the Township of Augusta shall purchase from Judith Sandra De
Groot the land legally described as Part of Lot 32, Concession 8, Township of Augusta,
County of Grenville being Part I on Plan 15R-11438, being Part of PIN 68173-
0224(LT) for the sum of $17,500.00.
2. This By-Law shall be registered on the lands prior to registration of the transfer.
3. The Reeve and the Clerk are hereby authorized to execute any and documents necessary
to complete the purchase of the said property and to register same in the Grenville Land
Registry Office.
4. This by-law comes into force and effect on the date of passing.
