THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF AUGUSTA
BY-LAW 3114-2014
BEING A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE SALE OF PART OF
UNNUMBERED BLOCK SOUTH OF G.T. RAILWAY, PLAN 9,
MAITLAND AND PART OF LOT 31, CONCESSION 1, BEING
PART 1 ON REFERENCE PLAN 15R-11014; AUGUSTA, AND
BEING ALL OF PIN 68183-0447(LT)
WHEREAS pursuant to the provisions of Section 8 of the Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended, the Council of every
municipality has the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a
natural person for the purpose of exercising its authority under this
or any other act;
AND WHEREAS the Township has agreed to sell to P.F. Donnelly
Const’n Ltd. the land described as:
(i.) Part of Unnumbered Block South of G. T. Railway, Plan
9 Maitland and Part of Lot 31, Concession 1, being Part
1 on Plan 15R11014; Township of Augusta, County of
Grenville and being all of PIN 68183-0447(LT).
NOW THEREFORE, according to Section 11(1) and 27(1) of the
Municipal Act, R.S.O. 2001, c. 25, as amended, the Council of The
Corporation of the Township of Leeds and the Thousand Islands
hereby enacts as follows:
1. That the land described in paragraph (i.) of this by-law be
transferred from The Corporation of the Township of Augusta
to P.F. Donnelly Const’n Ltd.
2. That the Reeve and CAO/Cierk are hereby authorized to
execute any and all documents and to do anything necessary
to complete the sale and transfer of property described in (i.)
of this by-law at a price of $100,000.00 plus any and all costs
incurred with respect to the said transaction.
3. That this By-law shall come into force and effect upon the
date of the final passing thereof.
