BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW 3466-2020 BEING A BY-LAW ADOPTING A POLICY FOR THE INTEGRATED ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS REGULATION (IASR) AND THE MULTI-YEAR ACCESSIBILITY PLAN FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF AUGUSTA

BY-LAW NUMBER 3621-2023
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW 3466-2020 BEING A BYLAW ADOPTING A
POLICY FOR THE INTEGRATED ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS REGULATION (IASR)
AND THE MULTI-YEAR ACCESSIBILITY PLAN FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF AUGUSTA
WHEREAS By-Law 3466-2020 being a By-Law Adopting a Policy for The Integrated
Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) and The Multi-Year Accessibility Plan of the
Township of Augusta was passed on March 9, 2020; and
WHEREAS Augusta was selected for a AODA desk audit; and
WHEREAS The Compliance Analyst requested that the statement below be inserted
into the AODA Multi-Year- Accessibility Plan;
AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable and expedient to amend such By-Law;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Corporation of the Township of
Augusta enacts as follows:
1. That Section General Provision, Training of By-Law 3466-2020 is hereby amended
by the addition of the following:
Training of our employees and volunteers on accessibility as it relates to their
specific roles.
2. That the remainder of the By-Law shall remain in full force and effect.
3. That this By-Law shall come into full force and effect at the time of passing.
Read a first, second, and third time and finally passed this 27th day of February, 2023.
