Nomination Information:
2018 Municipal Election nominations opened May 01, 2018. They closed on July 27, 2018 at 2pm.
Candidate nomination papers were to be filed at the Township office (3560 County Rd 26, Prescott) Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm beginning May 1, 2018 to July 26, 2018 and on Nomination Day July 27, 2018 until 2:00 p.m. Candidates had to sign the nomination form in front of the Clerk or designate and provide photo identification.

Please note that the nomination of a person for an office had to be endorsed by at least 25 persons and be accompanied by a prescribed declaration by each of the persons endorsing the nomination.

Nominations were open for Mayor (1), Deputy Mayor (1), Councillor (3), and School Board Trustee (1 for each board).
As of 2018, third party advertising is regulated for municipal council and school board elections. Third party advertisers must register with the municipal clerk where they will be advertising, and must file a financial statement.
Third party advertising is defined as a paid advertisement that supports, promotes or opposes a candidate.
