BY-LAW NO. 3149-2015
A BY-LAW TO AMEND ZONING BY-LAW NUMBER 2965, AS AMENDED
WHEREAS Section 39 of the Planning Act, as amended, authorizes Municipal Councils to
pass by-laws to permit temporary land uses for specific periods of time;
AND WHEREAS the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Augusta
deems it advisable to amend By-law Number 2965, as amended, to permit the use of an
existing lot of record for a second single dwelling unit on a temporary use basis;
THEREFORE, the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the Township of Augusta,
enacts as follows:
1. A second single dwelling unit may be permitted on the lands identified on Schedule
A for a temporary period commencing on the date of passing of this By-law for a
period of 3 years at which time the single dwelling unit which exists at the time of
passing of this by-law must be demolished.
This By-law comes into force in accordance with Sections 34(21) and (30) and Section 39
of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended.
Read a first and second time this 26 day of January, 2015.
Read a third time and finally passed this 26 day of January, 2015.
