I love the idea but we are struggling with all of the price increases-taxes, food etc., financially as a pensioner, we can barely makes ends meet as it is.

Yes, this is always a good program. We’ve lived in various places across the country where this is effective. It’s an excellent group volunteer project, and a great way for students to build volunteer hours as well.

You ask this right after announcing a 7 percent increase in our taxes. Was this increase during some tough times in this country not supporting thus? Canadians are fighting to keep homes afford groceries and bills at the present time only to have the government raise taxes and then the community we call home do the same .... and then you want us to contribute more? How about offering your community more instead.
